MIRPURKHAS, June 3: The Umerkot police on Monday booked three landlords for water theft.

Lodging an FIR with the Umerkot police, Umerdin Mangrio, SDO of irrigation, has alleged that landlords, Liaquat Ali Pali, Hidayat Ali Pali and Abdul Aziz Nohri, were involved in water theft by tampering with watercourse No.3R-4L.

KIDNAPPED: A mango orchard contractor, Arjun, was kidnapped by three armed motorcyclists near the vegetable market at Ring Road on Saturday night.

Mr Arjun was on his way home after receiving an amount of Rs100,000 from a man, Sajid Mehmood, at the vegetable market when he was kidnapped by the three armed motorcyclists, one of whom has been identified as Amir Memon.
