LAHORE, Oct 31: The Chief Minister's Inspection Team has completed inquiries against 155 officers and employees of different provincial government departments during this year and submitted reports to Pervaiz Elahi for further action.

This was disclosed at a meeting held here with CMIT Minister Shuja Khanzada in the chair to review the performance of the team. CMIT Chairman Muhammad Arsalan and members were also present.

Directing the members to complete the pending inquiries at the earliest, the minister said that purging the departments of corrupt officials was the top priority of the government.

He said the chief minister had also entrusted the CMIT with the task of monitoring the availability and prices of essential commodities during Ramazan.

The members should inspect the Ramazan and Sunday Bazaars for checking the prices and quality of merchandise availble there and take stern action for overcharging.
