HYDERABAD, Oct 30: The Sindh Agriculture University with the cooperation of the Higher Education Commission has initiated a research programme to control a devastating disease that has attacked mango orchards in Sindh.

This was stated by the principal investigator of the programme, Dr Rab Dino Khuhro here on Saturday.

He said that two PhD students, who would be selected following a test to be held on Nov 6, would be given fellowship to conduct the ground-breaking research.

Dr Khuhro expressed hope that the study would produce good results in controlling the disease in Sindh.

SU: Director Graduates Studies University of Sindh has announced the schedule for admissions to M.Phil programme.

The admission forms will be issued to candidates on Nov 1 while the last date for their submission has been fixed as Nov 27.

The pre-entry test for admission will be conducted on Dec 5 while the result of the test will be announced on Dec 11.

MUET: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology has extended the date from Nov 1 to Nov 3 for those students who have been selected for admission.

The successful students have been advised to collect the admission letters from the office of the deputy registrar admissions on Nov 3.

LUMHS: The additional controller of examinations of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences has announced that theory programme of final professional MBBS (old course) annual examination 2004 will commerce from November 24 at LUMHS and Chandka Medical College.
