HYDERABAD: Girls excel in M.Ed exams

HYDERABAD, Oct 27: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh, has announced the results of the M.Ed semester examinations of 2003.

In the M.Ed morning programme, Ghazala, daughter of Ali Nawaz Sehto, secured the first position, Shakeela, daughter of Ghulam Rasool Shah, second and Sadaqat Hussain, son of Mohammad Hussain Qalandrani, grabbed the third position.

In the evening programme, Nadia, daughter of Zahir Baig, took the first position and Asandas, son of Pessu Mal Soothar, second position. The third position will be announced later.

EXAMINATIONS: The final semester examinations of all disciplines of the University of Sindh will start from Nov 22.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the university on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui presided over the meeting.

The date for submitting examination forms will be notified later.

ENTRY TEST: The director, admissions, University of Sindh, on Tuesday announced that the test for admission to master degree programs, session of 2005, would be conducted on Oct 31 at the university's Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences.

Admit cards will be issued to candidates from Oct 28 to 30 at the Dr N. A. Baloch Sindh University Model School, old campus, Hyderabad.

The director, admissions, further announced that forms for admission to M.Sc, rural development, external programme, would be issued from Nov 1. He said candidates from all over the country could apply for the distance-learning programme.

The last date for submitting admission forms has been fixed at Dec 15 and the list of selected candidates will be issued on Jan 17.

LUMHS: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, has announced the result of BDS (third professional) bi-annual examination 2004.
