12 die as jeep plunges into ravine

CHITRAL, Oct 26: Twelve people were killed and three others were injured when a jeep fell into a deep ravine on Booni-Perich valley road here on Tuesday.

The victims were going to Perich valley from Booni after appearing in a civil court when the jeep plunged into the ravine at a sharp turn near Booni. All of them died on the spot. The three injured were taken to the Booni civil hospital.

The dead who were residents of Perich valley included jeep driver Mubashar Hassan, Azizullah, Ghazi Hussain, Shah Younas, Rehmat Aziz, Abdul Nazir, Mehrab Nabi, Naseerullah, Rehmat Wazir, Adina Khan and Mohammad Ayub. The name of the 12th victim could not be known.
