MARDAN, Oct 26: A meeting of the Citizen Court Liaison Committee (CCLC) decided here on Tuesday to open an information centre in the city where people would be provided information about the legal and judicial matters and suggest legal remedy.

The meeting, presided over by District and Sessions Judge Afsar Khan, was participated, among others, by District Naib Nazim Attaur Rehman and female councillor Nilofar Wahid.

The centre will start working from Wednesday. A government functionary will be present in the centre during the daily official hours.

Mr Khan said that the aim of the centre was to provide justice as well as to provide know-how about legal and judicial matters to the common man.

He said that it was decided that in order to solve the legal complications, a seminar comprising people from various walks of life and experts would be conducted in the city in which legal problems confronting the people would be taken up.
