RAWALPINDI, Oct 26: Three immigration officials deputed at Islamabad International Airport have been dismissed from service, while another official has been sent on forced retirement on charges of involvement in human-trafficking , a source at the airport told Dawn on Tuesday.

The source said Director FIA Immigration Chaudhry Tasadik Hussain issued dismissal orders of ASIs Aurangzaib and Kiran Jaffar and constable Jahan Khan after a departmental inquiry found them guilty.

Aurangzaib and Jahan Khan were found involved in helping a deportee flee from Islamabad airport, while Ms Jaffar faced charges of indiscipline.

The sources said head constable Jamshaid was sent on forced retirement after he was found involved in human-trafficking. However, another woman official, Rukhasana Shaukat, who had been suspended on charges of using a mobile phone at her work place, was reinstated.
