HYDERABAD, Oct 23: Sindh Minister for Auqaf, Zakat, Ushr and Religious and Minority Affairs Manzoor Ali Khan Panwhar has ordered removal of encroachments around the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

Talking to journalists during his visit to Bhitshah on Friday, he sought proposals from the department for preparation of a master plan for beautification of the shrine.

The minister said the encroachments were badly affecting beauty of the shrine and visitors also faced difficulties.

He further said deserving people would be provided with Zakat during Ramazan, saying the Sindh Zakat Council had started its work.

Mr Panwhar said it was an honour for Sindh that shrines of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and Sachal Sarmast were located here and added that beautification work of the shrine of Shah Latif would be initiated soon.

He laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha on the shrine. Federal Local Bodies Minister Abdul Razak Thaheem, former Sindh Food Minister Naseer Khoso and others accompanied him.
