KHAIRPUR: Four fall prey to karo-kari

KHAIRPUR, Oct 17: Four persons, three of them women, were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in upper Sindh and in a nearby villageof Balochistan on Sunday.

A man and a woman were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in the Sono Khan Shaikh village, Khairpur taluka.

Ladho Shaikh axed his daughter-in-law namely Imam Dini, 22, and one Tasleem Shaikh, 23, to death in the Sono Khan Shaikh village and fled.

Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh, the husband of a deceased woman, has lodged an FIR at the A-Section police station, Khairpur, against his father. The bodies were handed over to relatives after post-mortem from the civil hospital, Khairpur.

SUKKUR: A woman, Mukhtiaran, was gunned down by her husband Abdul Qadir Ghoto in Siddiq Ghoto village in the Vasti Jeevan Shah police on Sunday over the pretext of karo-kari.

Abdul Qadir suspected that she had maintained illicit relations with his cousin Abdul Hameed Ghoto.

Shahid Ghoto, brother of the deceased, lodged an FIR against Abdul Qadir but he could not be arrested because he had escaped after committing the crime.

JACOBABAD: A married woman, Shahzadi Khatoon, was gunned down by her husband, Attaullah Bugti, in the Mehboob Ali Rehmanzai village in the jurisdiction of Manjhoo Shori police station, Jafarabad district, Balochistan.

Shahzadi was at her home when her husband shot her dead and fled. The brother of the deceased woman, Inayatullah, has lodged an FIR against Attaullah Bugti. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.
