SHEIKHUPURA, July 24: Four family members, including a woman, were killed while as many sustained critical injuries on Saturday in an accident on Sargodha Road, some six kilometres from here.

Shahnawaz along with his wife Musarrat, son Umair (6), Babar, Imtiaz and his wife Rukhsana, their son Usman (1) and daughter Kinza (2) was returning to Mianwali from Lahore by his car (LOE-8298). Near Machike, the fast travelling car collided with an oil-tanker, killing Shahnawaz, his wife and son instantly while injuring other occupants seriously. They were shifted to the local DHQ Hospital. Babar and Rukhsana were later shifted to General Hospital, Lahore, in critical condition where the former died.

Sheikhupura Sadar police are looking into the matter.
