LARKANA: Larkana SP suspended

LARKANA, July 22: The Sindh IGP, Syed Kamal Shah, on Thursday suspended the SP, investigation, Larkana, Agha Tahir, for negligence in duty.

Sources said the IGP took the decision on a report of the regional police officer, Sukkur, Rahoo Khan Brohi.

Larkana DPO Nadir Khoso on Thursday night confirmed the suspension of the SP, saying he had received a fax message from the IGP in this regard.

The reason behind the suspension is said to be the escape of an outlaw, Mushtaq Kalhoro, from the Bair Sharif police post, Kambar police station jurisdiction.

CONSTABLE KILLED: Five persons, wearing police uniform, on Thursday shot dead police constable Abdul Rehman Jalbani near Ratodero while he was on his way to the Gath Jalbni village after performing his duty.

SALARY DEMANDED: The sanitary staff of the Shahdadkot taluka council continued their protest for the second day by holding a demonstration on Thursday against non-payment of their two-month salary.

Raising slogans against the taluka municipal officer, the workers staged a sit-in outside the taluka nazim's office. They said their families were facing starvation as they had not been paid their salaries for two months. They said they would continue their protest till the payment of their dues.
