PESHAWAR, July 17: Geoscientists across the country will meet on July 20 to forecast the future prospects, identify problems and to suggest proposals for endurable development in county's mineral sector.

The three-day national conference on Economic and Environmental Sustainability of Mineral Resources of Pakistan is jointly organized by the National Centre of Excellence in Geology University of Peshawar, Department of Geology and Regional Exploration Office, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission to be held at Baragali Summer Campus University of Peshawar on Tuesday.

Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar Lt Gen (Rtd) Mumtaz Gul would preside the inaugural session of the conference while Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Parvez Butt will be the chief guest.

The conference aimed at highlighting the natural resource potential and its role in the environmentally sustainable economic development in the country.
