QUETTA, June 25: About 40 rockets were fired at a Frontier Corps checkpoint and a patrolling party in Mund tehsil, Kech district, and Bhari Road in Kohlu Agency on Thursday night.

Frontier Corps sources told Dawn here on Friday that unidentified people fired 20 to 25 rockets at the Saeed checkpoint, some 20km from Mund. The assailants fled when FC men returned fire, they said and added that no casualty had been reported.

In Kohlu Agency, 15 rockets were fired on an FC team on the Bhari Road when it went towards the mountains after receiving information that some people involved in subversive activities were hiding there.
