LAHORE, May 29: The action committee of various city cricket associations has appealed to the Pakistan Cricket Board advisory council members to confine their role in their advisory capacity at the meeting being held at Gaddafi Stadium here on June 4.

The meeting will take important decisions particularly about domestic cricket.

In a press statement, the chairman of the action committee Aamir Hayat Khan Rokri said that his association had respect for members of the council but since it was not a constitutional body therefore it had no authority to take any decision.

"There was no provision of an advisory council in PCB constitution to sanction or approve any budget proposals or accounts or to take any other vital decision on behalf of the executive council of the cricket board," he said.

The negotiations of the action committee with PCB chairman, he said, were already under way for restoration of the general body and the executive council which was constitutionally authorized to take such decisions.
