KARACHI, May 22: An under-trial prisoner died in mysterious circumstances at Central Prison, Karachi, on Saturday. Prison officials brought the body of Mohammad Faisal, 35, to the Civil Hospital for autopsy, and told the doctors that Faisal had died a natural death.

However, medico-legal officers performed the postmortem examination on the body and reserved the report to declare the final cause of death till the receipt of reports of histopathological examination and chemical tests.

ACCIDENT: An unidentified man, in his early 30s, died in a hit-and-run accident on Mauripur Road on Saturday.

The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for an autopsy. The police could not find a clue to the killer driver. The body was later kept at Edhi morgue for identification.
