ISLAMABAD, May 1: The government will try its best to provide facilities of international standards to foreign tourists at hotels and motels to promote tourism in the country.

This was stated by the minister of state for tourism, Rais Munir Ahmed, while presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation here on Saturday.

The minister said the government was exploring new markets to promote tourism at international level. At present, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation is operating 18 tourist information centres in all major cities in the country.

Feasibility report is being prepared to establish Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation information offices worldwide, particularly in London, New York, Dubai, Riyadh, Beijing and Berlin, he added.
