Developing Asia Journalism Awards

KARACHI, April 10: Dawn's Assistant Editor (Business) Afshan Subohi and one of the Dawn's regular contributors, Zofeen Ebrahim, figure prominently in the first annual Developing Asia Journalism Awards announced by the Asian Development Bank Institute.

Ms Subohi has been declared the first runner-up in the pro-poor sustainable economic category growth and second runner-up in regional cooperation and integration for development category.

Ms Ebrahim is the first runner-up in the inclusive social development category.

Mr Massoud Ansari of Newsline magazine has been declared Development Journalist of the Year and Ma Guihua of China Features as the Development Woman Journalist of the Year.
