LARKANA, April 4: The central executive committee of the People's Party Parliamentarians has warned the government against rolling back the nuclear programme and striking a deal on the Kashmir issue.

The committee met at the Naudero house of party chairperson Benazir Bhutto on Saturday night. PPP vice-chairman Yousuf Raza Gailani presided over the meeting.

Briefing journalists on the meeting's deliberations, PPP deputy general-secretary Chaudhri Altaf Hussain Qureshi alleged that the government had entered into a deal on Kashmir and had decided to roll back the nuclear programme.

He said the PPP would oppose the moves. The meeting discussed the prevailing political situation and decided to strengthen its struggle against the government.
