KHAIRPUR, April 2: District Nazim Nafisa Shah has said the society is a victim of class discrimination and urged the common man to wage a joint struggle against this bias.

She was speaking at a councillors and citizens conference organized by the labour rights committee of the district here on Thursday night.

Ms Nafisa said that only 10 per cent privileged people reached the legislative assemblies through the vote of the 90 per cent deprived masses.

Mir Zulfiqar, Abdul Salam Dharejo, labour councillor Farida Phulpoto, Amjad Lashari and Aijaz Abbasi also spoke in favour of the labour class of the country. They said no country could achieve prosperity unless the labour class became prosperous.

JSM: Jeay Sindh Mahaz chairman Abdul Khaliq Junejo has said that due to differences among nationalist parties, Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali do not give them any importance.

Speaking at a press conference at the local press club here on Thursday night, he said full sovereignty of the people was the only solution to all the problems of Sindh.

He called for an organized struggle against the present leadership of the country and the United States, alleging that the ruling class had deviated from the Pakistan Resolution.

Speaking on the rights of the province, he said the Sindh assembly was the creator of Pakistan being the first assembly to pass the Pakistan Resolution, but today the same assembly was passing resolutions against anti-Sindh projects.

He urged the people of Sindh to fight for self-determination like Kashmiris.

Yasin Sindhi and Taufiq Azad also spoke on the occasion.
