KARACHI, April 2: Ceremonies to commemorate the 260th Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai will be held at the Mazar of the sufi saint from April 5 to 7.

Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad will perform the inauguration ceremony by laying a floral wreath at the Mazar. On the occasion, he will distribute clothes among the poor and needy.

Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar will also lay a floral wreath at the Mazar on the concluding day of the Urs and will participate in the Latif Award ceremony.

To celebrate the Urs in a befitting manner, all possible arrangements would be made for the convenience of visitors.

Two exhibition, one agricultural and the other industrial, would be held as part of the celebrations.

A literary event, Adabi Conference, has been scheduled for the last day of the Urs and would be attended by poets, writers and other literary personalities. The participants would shed light on the life, poetry and message of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.-APP
