KARACHI, March 27: Elections to the various offices of the Karachi Press Club were held here on Tuesday. Nizamuddin Siddiqui of Dawn was elected president by securing 350 votes.

The other office-bearers elected are: Siraj Ahmed, vice-president; Khurshid Abbasi, secretary; Shujauddin Qureshi, joint secretary and Shahid Iqbal, treasurer.

The following were elected members of the governing body: Abul Hassan, Akber Ali, Aijaz Shaikh, Farhat Anis, M. Amin Yusuf, Shabbana Shafiq, and Syed Raza Hassan.

Syed Raza Hassan and Zarar Khan got equal number of votes but Zarar Khan withdrew in favour of Syed Hassan Raza.
