SUKKUR: Accident leaves 80 injured

SUKKUR, March 12: Some 80 people were injured when their vehicles skidded because of spillage of detergent chemical from a tanker on the Golimar road here on Thursday night.

Several dozen motorcycles and four wheel vehicles slipped on the road as a result some 80 people were injured. The tanker driver managed to flee from the scene.

JUI: A meeting of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Taluka Sukkur was held at its Kando Wahan office on Friday. Maulana Mohammad Qasim presided over the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, JUI leaders Maulana Abdul Haq Mahar, Maulana Karim Junejo and Abu Ammar Junejo criticized the government, saying it had failed to resolve the problems of people.

They said the prices of flour and other essential items were on the rise but the government claimed that every thing was all right.
