FAISALABAD, Feb 14: A case was registered against the headmistress of a Samundari high school and two women on the charge of injuring two teachers on Saturday.

The headmistress of the Government Girls High School No 1, however, alleged that the teachers attacked and injured her at the behest of an MPA.

According to details, Shahida Parveen was transferred from the Government Girls Middle School of Chak 219 GB (Phoolpur) to the Government Girls High School No 1 (Samundari). The headmistress of the Samundari school, Khalida Parveen, reportedly refused to accommodate Shahida for want of vacant post.

The refusal by the headmistress infuriated Shahida and both exchanged hot words in the presence of teachers, students and other staff of the school.

It was learnt that Shahida and another teacher Shahnaz Bashir attacked and injured the headmistress in the presence of a number of students. Shahida and Shahnaz also damaged some furniture and fixture of the office of the headmistress.

Later, Shahida and Shahnaz alleged in a complaint lodged with the police that Khalida and two other unidentified women attacked and injured them.

The City Samundari police registered a case on the report of Shahida Parveen, a resident of Rajana Road, Samundari. However, no arrest has been made so far.

Meanwhile, headmistress Khalida told newsmen that she had been implicated in a criminal case despite the fact that she was tortured and injured seriously by two teachers in the presence of students and staff members.

She alleged that an MPA of Samundari had been backing the two teachers and targeting her as she never succumbed to the pressure of influential people in the school affairs.

She claimed that the police refused to register a case when she had approached them with a medico-legal certificate. Instead, the police implicated her in a concocted case.

She said that the high-ups of the education department were informed immediately after the incident but they failed to protect her.
