FAISALABAD, Feb 7: Tent-pegging and other competitions on the second day of the three-day National Horse Show at the University of Agriculture enthralled spectators. The show is being organized by the Faisalabad Horse Riding Association. Horse riders from different parts of the province participated in various exciting competitions. Different dances of horses were a treat to watch.

Speaking here on Saturday, university vice-chancellor Dr Riaz Husain Qureshi said over 300 horses had been brought for the show, which had attracted a large number of people.

He said the university was making efforts to promote this game and it could be judged from the fact that an expensive tract adjacent to the university campus on the Jail Road had been allocated for a horse stadium.

Convener Dr Farooq highlighted the programmes of the show, which, he claimed, was one of the biggest events in the country being arranged every year for the last five years.
