PESHAWAR, Feb 4: The SAF Games preliminary round matches of soccer tournament will be played here from Feb 26, it was announced on Wednesday.

Secretary Sarhad Olympic Association (SOA) Aqil Shah told newsmen at that the provincial Olympic association had directed the committee to plan all the matches at Qayyum National Stadium.

Rejecting the apprehension about the law and order situation, he said that the committee with thehelp of city police would provide proper security for the matches. He added they were also trying to arrange quartersfinals in the city.

He hinted that an international financier and Frontier government in principle have agreed to provide the required funds for staging the event.
