KARACHI: Boy dies in road accident

KARACHI, Feb 4: An eight-year-old boy died in a road accident in Mochko area on Wednesday. Police said that Shahnawaz was crossing a road when a speeding minibus of route (D-11) knocked him down.

The victim was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police claimed to have arrested the errant driver of the minibus Haider Ali and impounded the vehicle.

CRUSHED: A young man was crushed to death beneath locomotive near Landhi on Wednesday. Police said that Banaras, 25, was crossing over the railway tracks when he got hit by the locomotive. His body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities, police added.
