HYDERABAD, Jan 24: The president, Association of People of Asia, Sindh chapter, Zafar Rajput, has supported the opening of the Khokhrapar route and said it is not a security risk.

Delivering a lecture on the opening of the Khokhrapar route at the press club here on Thursday, he said this would enable divided families to meet their relatives.

He said the opening of the route would have a positive impact on economic activities in the region.

He dispelled the impression that with the opening of the route the pressure on the population of Sindh would increase.

Mr Rajput, however, said visa and immigration laws should strictly be implemented to check illegal entries.

He said the people of Sindh who wanted to visit their relatives in India had to face difficulties as it took them more time to reach their destination and they had to incur additional expenses.

He said the Khokhrapar route was not a security risk.
