Crown Prince Khalifa off to UAE

SADIQABAD, Jan 3: The deputy supreme commander of the UAE and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, left Rahim Yar Khan on Saturday by a special plane after a 16-day private visit to Pakistan.

National Security Council Secretary Tariq Aziz bade farewell to the crown prince at the Rahim Yar Khan airport. Pakistan's Ambassador to UAE Ali Muhammad Hamad Shami, elected representatives and other civil officers were also present on the occasion.

Tariq Aziz said on the occasion that the relations between the UAE and Pakistan had been built on solid foundations which could be further strengthened. He said there was a wide scope for expanding trade ties between the two countries.

He also appreciated the special interest shown by the crown prince for the development of Rahim Yar Khan and adjoining areas of southern Punjab.-APP
