ISLAMABAD, April 25: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday said that the government has initiated development projects amounting to Rs130 billion in Balochistan, which would open new vistas of economic prosperity.
He was talking to Governor of Balochistan Awais Ahmed Ghani, who had called on him here at his office. Both the leaders reviewed the situation in Balochistan.
Sheikh Rashid said the report of the parliamentary committee on Balochistan would soon be made public.
He said the government is attaching top priority to seeking solution of the matters pertaining to the province through dialogue.
Mr Ghani said that the government is undertaking a number of development projects besides taking steps towards the improvement of social and economic uplift of the people. He said with these steps the people would have access to better facilities in the province.—APP
