LAHORE, April 23: Victim of an alleged gang-rape has rejected the chief minister’s complaint cell findings as baseless. Speaking at a press conference here at the Lahore Press Club, the girl (N) said that she was ready to undergo a medical examination to prove that she was not an addict, as claimed by the findings.

She said neither police nor the chief minister secretariat was sincere in ascertaining facts. “The police wanted me to drop charges against the accused,” she claimed.

According to the girl’s father Ashgar Bhatti, three men — Naveed Bhatti, Azam Bhatti and Fayaz Bhatti — had kept her in detention for 37 days and abused her.

Two police officials of Sialkot Civil Lines police also gang-raped her after they recovered her from the three men, he claimed.

Gang: The Batapur police claimed on Saturday to have busted a gang of swindlers involved in a number of cases and arrested its three members.

The arrested are Sharifan alias Nanoon (ring leader), Juma Ghulam Raza and Jasim alias Nana.

Meanwhile, Mochi Gate Investigation police arrested three members a of gang of forgers and recovered counterfeit stamps, degrees and certificates. The arrested are Baba Akhtar, Sarfraz alias Mana and Aziz Beg.
