KARACHI, April 23: The University of Karachi is endeavouring for the acquisition of a clinical hospital for the faculty of Pharmacy. This was stated by KU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui. He was speaking as chief guest at the launch of a research journal of the faculty of Pharmacy on Saturday.

It was pointed out that clinical hospital was essential for the pharmacy students.

The publication has been named as “Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.” The vice-chancellor pointed out that this was an era of science and technology.

He was of the view that our scientists would have to excel in the field of research. Prof Pirzada said that now when funds and latest equipment were being provided at the labs, our scientists should work for the progress and prosperity of the country as well as for the cause of the humanity.

He highlighted the importance of knowledge-based research in this era. — APP
