KARACHI, April 21: Two container ships were accommodated berths at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Berth occupancy was low as only three ships, Oranje, Contship Tamarind and Anjum, were busy in loading and unloading containers and general cargo.

A cargo volume of 33,558 tons comprising 12,648 tons of import and 20,910 tons of export cargo was handled.

Three ships, Kia Waleed, Delhi and Min Noble, were expected to take berths at QICT and IOCB. An oil tanker, Warbah, was due to arrive at the port while Sydney, Yanaseni and Garrison Savannah were expected to reach on Friday.
