POF sports festival begins

ISLAMABAD, April 15: The POF Sports Festival began in Wah on Friday with the preliminary rounds of hockey, football, basketball and volleyball being held. Results (volleyball): Medium Artillery Ammunition bt POF Gadwal 25-16, 25-19, 25-12; Small Arms Ammunition bt Services Group 25- 12, 25-13, 25-5; Weapons Factory bt Star Club 25-12, 25-13, 25- 12.

Football: Services bt Shaheen 2-1; SAA bt Admin Group; Weapons bt POF Havelian 1-0; POF Gadwal bt HMC 3-0 (penalty shootout). Hockey: FG High School No. 9 bt FG Public School 2-0; FG High School No. 11 bt FG School No. 7 3-0.

Basketball: SAA bt Panther Club 62-40; Zamindar Club bt Admin Group 68-19; Wah Lakers bt Explosives 47-42; POF Havelian bt Christian Hospital Taxila 53-39.
