KARACHI, April 14: Brisk cargo handling activity was observed at the port where a cargo volume of 74,658 tons comprising 57,086 tons of import and 17,572 tons of export tonnage was handled during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Berthing was slow as only one container ship was berthed at QICT. A total of five ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, general cargo, wheat and diesel

oil.

Sailing was slow as Al-Maqwa left the port while Indigo was due to depart.

Three ships, Oranje, Lugma and Gemini, were expected to take berths at QICT and MPT on Thursday. While Amasis, Genco Leader and Nur Yanbu were due to arrive on Friday.
