QUETTA, April 11: Jamhoori Watan Party leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti said on Monday that he had confidence in Mr Sher Ali Mazari and appreciated the positive role played by him to resolve the dispute between the government and the Bugti tribe. However, he added that Mr Mazari had not been nominated on the three-member monitoring committee.

Nawab Bugti’s spokesman Agha Shahid Hasan Bugti issued a statement in which the JWP leader said that some remarks ascribed to him had created an impression that he had no confidence in Mr Mazari and that he was not his representative.

According to Nawab Bugti, he had stated that Mr Mazari had not been nominated as a member of the three-member monitoring committee.
