KARACHI, April 9: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that Pakistan will have a bright future only if feudal system comes to an end.

In his telephonic address to lawyers of the MQM’s Legal Aid Committee on Friday, he demanded an end to the feudal system, saying the country would cease to exist if feudal system did not come to an end.

According to a party press release, Mr Hussain said only two per cent privileged class was ruling the country and the poor and middle class people had been deprived of their fundamental rights.

He said it was the time of information technology, but unfortunately obsolete feudal system was still prevailing in the country.

“The poor people of the country in general and youth in particular have now come to the conclusion that the country would not usher in an era of progress and prosperity unless feudal system was not uprooted”, he said.

The MQM chief said his party wanted an end to the feudal system in the country because Pakistan and feudalism can’t exist together. “It is time to decide whether we want the very existence of Pakistan or we want to save the feudalism”, he observed.
