Transporters block road

HANGU, April 7: Drivers of public transport blocked main Kohat-Hangu road near Doaba to protest against firing on a passenger coach here on Thursday. A flying coach had come under fire near the Hangu town on Wednesday evening. No one was hurt in the incident. The protesters said that they were facing problems due to the prevailing insecurity on roads. The traffic on the road was resumed after two hours when the SHO of Doaba police station assured the drivers that the culprits would be arrested.

ATTEMPT TO KIDNAP: Three masked men attempted to kidnap a shopkeeper after he closed his shop in the Hangu bazar here on Wednesday evening.

The three men escaped after they were encountered by one Naqibullah, a brother of the shopkeeper, Mohammad Aziz.

The Hangu police station had registered a case.
