PESHAWAR, April 6: NWFP Health Minister Inayatullah Khan has ordered preparation of a plan for putting a newly-established Kidney Centre at Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar into operation without further delay. He was presiding over a meeting convened to review matters relating to the Kidney Centre on Wednesday. Secretary Health Abdus Samad, Dean PGMI, Dr Arshad Javaid, Chief Executive HMC Dr Shad Mohammad Khan, Medical Superintendent Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Dr Akhtar Ali, Dr Attaur Rahman, Secretary Workers Welfare Board Farooq Shah and others attended the meeting.

The meeting was told that building of the centre was complete while efforts for purchase of equipment were in progress. The meeting discussed in detail strategy for appointment of staff and resolving other issues related to the centre. A committee comprising Secretary Health, Dean PGMI, Dr Akhtar Ali and representatives of Workers Welfare Board and HMC was formed and assigned the task of devising a comprehensive operational plan for the centre.
