KARACHI, April 4: The Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) and the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) will jointly work out a strategy to deal with unscrupulous ghee and cooking oil makers producing substandard products. A meeting under the chairmanship of PSQCA Director General Abdul Ghaffar Soomro was held with a delegation of the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association. The Quality Control Authority informed the ghee makers that there would be no compromise on quality, says a press release.

The PVMA was advised to ensure vitamin A fortification in all packing of banaspati and cooking oil as per declaration on the label.
