KARACHI, April 4: Eight vessels carrying containers and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships, Global Princes, Thor Captain, Karibu, Bunga Delima, to unload and load containers, Pantanal to offload and load general cargo, Thal Assani and Gagarmayang, to load rice and naphtha were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Global Princess, Karibu and Wilmington, while Luo Qing, Bunga Delima and Pantanal are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was slow partly because of Saturday’s strike, as the total tonnage fell to 36,479 tons, comprising 6,818 tons of export cargo and 29,661 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Nur Yanbu, with chemicals, Iran Korodestan, Dong He, Oranje, Sagamore, Y.M. Energy, APL Dalian and Kota Wajar, with containers.
