KARACHI, April 3: Armed bandits injured a man and his mother in Saeedabad early on Sunday morning. Police said that four armed suspects barged into a house in Gulshan-i-Ghazi. As inmates, Shakil, 25, and his mother Zakariya Bibi tried to resist the assailants they opened fire at them and fled. Police said that Shakil suffered a bullet wound in his chest while his mother suffered bullet wound in her arm. Both the victims were shifted to the Civil Hospital where condition of Shakil was stated to be serious.

ROBBED: Bandits took away valuables worth over Rs200,000 from the house of an army officer in Defence on Sunday.

Several armed suspect barged into the house of Major Qasim in Khayaban-i-Ghazi. They held the inmates hostage at gunpoint and took away Rs20,000 cash, two laptop computers and other valuables worth over Rs200,000.

Following the incident, top police officials visited the house and assured the family that the suspects would not be spared.
