LARKANA, April 2: Police registered a case against four people for allegedly assaulting a girl in Ratodero on Thursday night.

The victim in her FIR, lodged under the Hudood and Zina Ordinance, stated that she was kidnapped by Syed Arif Shah, Syed Samar Shah and Syed Kamran Shah while she was going to her friend’s house near the Kandi-Ji-Kund locality. She said she was taken to the Autaq of Jairam alias Amabi where she was criminally assaulted by the four people.

The girl said the accused escaped when neighbours reached the site on her hue and cry.

She was medically examined by Dr Munwar Ghanghro of the Ratodero hospital but the report has not been issued as yet.

The girl was produced in the court of a judicial magistrate on Friday but her statement could not be recorded because the office time was over. She has been kept at the Larkana women’s police station so that she can be produced in the court on Saturday for her statement.

It was learnt that the three accused, who kidnapped the girl, had obtained keys of the Autaq from Jairam for staying their guests there. Area people said the criminals were influential.
