KARACHI, April 2: An unidentified man was shot dead at a bus stop by unknown assailants in Sharafi Goth on Saturday.

Police said they found the bullet riddled body of a man in his mid-30s at a bus stop. People told the police that the man was standing at the stop when some unknown killers shot him and fled. The victim suffered a bullet and died on the spot. His body was shifted to JPMC where his identity could not be established immediately as nothing was found from him to establish his identification.

After the autopsy, the body was kept at Edhi morgue for identification.

ACCIDENT: A pedestrian was knocked down by a minibus in Baloch Colony police limits Saturday morning.

Police said Shehzad, 26, was crossing Shaheed-i-Millat Road when a speeding minibus of route S-2 (PE-6440) hit him. The pedestrian died on the spot and the body was taken to a hospital for autopsy. The minibus driver fled the scene. However, the police impounded the vehicle and registered a case against the absconding driver.
