LAHORE, March 1: Fine batting by Khurram Manzoor and accurate bowling helped the PCB-XI beat Leicestershire by 41 runs in the first Twenty20 match in Pakistan at the Qadhafi Stadium on Friday.

Khurram struck 27-ball 43 with five fours and one six as PCB- XI piled up 162 for seven in 20 overs while batting first on a placid track.

The visitors could not cope with the home side’s tidy bowling and were 121-8 by the end of the quota of overs.

Shoaib, leading the side, and Shabbir bowled well with the newball and removed the openers cheaply paving the way for young spinner Mansoor to finish with the best figures of three for 19.

Besides Khurram, Shoaib Khan (35, two fours, 31 balls) and Kamran Sajid (28, five fours, 20 balls) batted well for the home team.
