Selection of LHC judges

LAHORE, March 28: The chief justice is considering a list of 10 lawyers and district and sessions judges for the selection of seven of them for elevation to the Lahore High Court. The list is expected to be sent to the chief justice of Pakistan sometimes next week for his recommendation to the president for a notification. It is learnt that the selection of new judges for the LHC became possible after the chief justice of Pakistan and the LHC chief justice reached an understanding that the new judges should include five lawyers and two sessions judges.
