LAHORE, March 26: A Turkish delegation led by Koksal Toptan, a National Assembly member, visited the Punjab University on Saturday. The delegation, which called on PU vice-chancellor Arshad Mahmood, was briefed about the academic and administrative structure of the university. The VC also explained the functioning of PU’s senate syndicate, academic council, advanced studies, research board and the budget committee. Mr Toptan highlighted the importance of education for the developing countries. He also desired collaboration in academic pursuits between the universities of the two countries.—APP
