MULTAN, March 25: Pakistan U-19 squad was in deep trouble facing a big total of 405 on Friday having lost five wickets for 160 runs at stumps on second day of the four-day Test at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Wicket keeper Naeem Anjum who took five catches behind was the only batsman to offer any resistance scoring 60 valuable runs off 98 balls with eight boundaries.

Sri Lankan medium pacers Angelo Methews and C. Jayaweera shared two wickets each while S. Karunanayake claimed one wicket.

Earlier, Sri Lanka resumed at overnight total of 280/4 but all the remaining six wickets fell after adding 125 more thanks to fiery spellg by medium pacer Nawaz Sardar who finished with five wickets for 105.

He was well supported by off-spinner Sohaib Maqsood who claimed two wickets for 50. Methews was the main scorer of the day who remained unbeaten at 41.—APP
