Trader deprived of cash

LAHORE, March 22: Robbers snatched Rs500,000 from a businessman in Firdaus Market on Tuesday. Fazalur Rehman told police he withdrew the money from a bank in Gulberg and was on way to his home when two motorcyclists intercepted his car. They snatched the money and fled. Two gunmen drove away with the motorcycle of Asif in Misri Shah while another motorcycle was stolen from Ichhra. Imran’s car was lifted from Shadman market.

SHOT DEAD: A girl was killed in Burki on Tuesday night when a gun went off accidentally. Police said Mubashar was cleaning his pistol when it went off. A bullet hit his niece Bano, 20, who succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
