PESHAWAR, March 16: NWFP Health Minister Inayatullah Khan has taken a strong notice of the delay in the construction of a new building for the Mental Hospital, Peshawar, and directed removal of all hurdles in this regard within two weeks.He was presiding over a meeting to review the construction of a new building at the health secretariat here on Wednesday. The chief planning officer, health director and medical superintendent of the Mental Hospital attended the meeting.The minister expressed anguish over the slow pace of work and asked the health secretary to ensure acquisition of land for the building within two weeks.

The minister approved a proposal for an increase in the number of beds in the existing building, and asked the hospital authorities to improve sanitary conditions within the premises, said an official handout.
