PESHAWAR, March 12: The passport circle of the Federal Investigation Agency has initiated inquiry against a woman deported from the United Kingdom to Lahore on Friday.

Alia Kanwal, a resident of the Nasir Khan area in Peshawar, was deported from the Heathrow airport. The FIA immigration authorities in Lahore sent the case to the passport circle in Peshawar which had initiated inquiry against her, sources said.

Meanwhile, the passport circle has started search for a human smuggler who had attempted to send two persons to Europe via Dubai from the Lahore airport.

Saifullah Shah and Aurangzeb Khan, residents of Peshawar, were offloaded by the immigration authorities at the Lahore international airport last week.

The immigration officials handed them over to the passport circle in Peshawar with a request to arrest Ehsanullah who had allegedly taken huge amount from the two men with the promise that they would be sent to Greece via Dubai and Cyprus.
